Gatorade is a very aqueous sports drink.

  1. Armada- fleet of warships;
The armada coming towards land looked intimidating and created chaos among the people who thought they may be attacked.

  1. Armature- equipment or clothing for battle; protective covering;
When going out onto the battlefield, armature is needed for protection.

  1. Armistice- an agreement made by opposing sides in a war to stop fighting for a certain time; a truce; a temporary suspension of hostilities by mutual agreement;
My sister and I made an armistice to not argue with one another but that didn’t last more than a day.

  1. Artifact- an object made by a human being, typically an item of cultural or historical interest;
Scientists use ancient artifacts to aid them in uncovering the past.

  1. Artifice- clever or cunning devices or expedients, especially as used to trick or deceive others;
The double agent used artifice to become the best spy ever.

  1. Artisan- a worker in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand;
My uncle considers himself an artisan because he makes clay pots in his free time.

  1. Millennium- a period of a thousand years, especially when calculated from the traditional date of the birth of Christ;
There was a huge improvement in technology during the last millennium.

  1. Perennial- lasting or existing for a long or apparently infinite time; enduring or continually recurring;
Because of the boy’s perennial allergies, he had to take allergy medication every day.

  1. Superannuated- outdated; worn out or retired from age and years of use or hard work;
I really think my iPhone 4s is superannuated compared to the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ which has undergone huge improvements.
